Vaughan out till English summer

London : England captain Michael Vaughan on Tuesday said he would not take the field before this summer after returning home following a knee injury that ruled him out of the Test series against India starting on Wednesday.

"For everyone's good it's important that I get it sorted and come back fit and strong in the summer," Vaughan told BBC Radio Five Live.

"I didn't want to go through a whole series letting the team and myself down".

Vaughan said he withdrew in the larger interest of the team. — UNI
