Isolated rain likely in south T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms. are: Punalur (Kollam dt.) 3 and Valparai 1.

The minimum temperature rose markedly at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, rose appreciably at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, rose at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over south Kerala and changed little elsewhere over the region.

Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 16 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Thursday morning): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu and mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No large change.
