NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has deferred the March 2 National Football League (NFL) match between Air India and Fransa Pax Club. Air India had protested the `replay' of the February 2 match after Fransa had failed to turn up at the ground in protest of what it claimed to be an umpiring error in its previous match against Mahindra United. The AIFF, which let off Fransa lightly with a token punishment, said it received the protest letter from Air India on Monday evening. The AIFF General Secretary, Alberto Colaco, said that the matter would be discussed at the AIFF Executive Committee meeting here on March 8. Fransa's other two matches, against Sporting Clube de Goa (March 5) and Salgaocar Sports Club (March 8), will be on schedule before the NFL resumes after month-long break on March 9. — Sports Reporter
