Discom to ensure 7-hr power supply for agriculture

TIRUPATI: With the Government issuing clear-cut instructions to various power distribution companies in the State on the sensitive issue of power supply to agriculture, the Tirupati-based Southern Power Distribution Company (Discom) is all set to ensure 7-hour power supply and to attend emergencies in case of break-down of transformers or any other operational systems.

Chairman and the Managing Director of the Southern Discom P. Gopal Reddy said that senior officers have been designated for each of the six districts coming under his network to monitor the supply. He gave the mobile numbers of the officials concerned in case the farmers seek any

clarification/information or to convey their grievances.

Following are the mobile numbers of the officials concerned:

Tirupati: 94408-11735, Chittoor: 94408-11761, Nellore: 94408-11990, Cuddapah: 94408-11909, Prakasam: 94408-12191, Guntur: 94408-12255, Vijayawada: 94408-12083.
