One-point drop in consumer index

SHIMLA: The all-India Consumer Price Index (CPI) number for industrial workers declined by one point to 549 during January against an increase of five points in the year-ago period, Labour Bureau sources here said. The decrease was attributed to fall in prices of groundnut oil, onion, arhar dal, vegetables, fruits and kerosene.
