BSP chief Mayawati
Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati on Tuesday claimed that the defected party MLAs against whom the Allahabad High Court gave its verdict were in touch with her. ``These MLAs are in contact with me and other senior party leaders after the judgment,'' she said at a Press conference here. She, however, refused to give the names of the MLAs, saying it would be disclosed at an appropriate time. Though making a swift change in her stand, Ms Mayawati said these 40 MLAs were forced to join the Samajwadi Party in 2003 due to a ``blackmailing and other pressure tactics''.
