HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu has condemned the foreign policy of US President George Bush, which he said, was promoting religious hatred.

Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, he said the party was not opposed to his visit to India but to the US policy to curb Iran's nuclear weapons while blinking at Pakistan's N-programme. He said India should not take sides and maintain its non-aligned stand. "We need not get identified with Bush policies," he added.

    Clinton praised

Replying to a question, he said if necessary the TDP was willing to move a no-trust motion against the UPA Government on the Iran issue.

He praised former US President Bill Clinton, saying he was accepted universally.

Meanwhile, MIM floor leader in the Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi said Mr.Bush was an "unwanted guest of Andhra Pradesh" and demanded cancellation of his visit.

Meanwhile, the Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) of India is organising a exhibition of cartoons and photographs to protest against the U.S. policies during Bush's visit to the city. The two-day expo will be held at Hockey Grounds, Masab Tank from Wednesday.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Tanvir-ul-Haq, president, SIO Andhra Pradesh Zone said the expo will cover and exhibit the U.S. foreign policies and the attacks on Iraq and Afghanistan.

"We will showcase the country's policies that trample upon human rights and crimes perpetrated against women and children. We will protest Mr. Bush's visit with an exhibition," he said.

About 300 photos and another 300 cartoons from national and international media will form part of the expo along with some flash presentations.
