KARIMNAGAR: In-charge Collector Christiana Z. Chongthu has planted medicinal saplings like ashwagandha, tulsi, neelagiri and neem in the herbal garden at the Vaageshwari Educational Society on the outskirts of Karimnagar town as part of the National Science day on Tuesday.
Ecological balance
Participating as chief guest at a seminar on `Nurture nature for the future' organised by Vaageshwari Colleges, the in-charge Collector called upon students to strive for preservation of the nature for the future generation.
Environmental pollution
She also explained about the importance of ecological balance and protection of nature from environmental pollution. She also inaugurated a science exhibition on the occasion. Professor of NIIT, Warangal, K V Jaya Kumar, Kakatiya University pharmaceutical sciences professor Raghu Rama Rao, principal of Vaageshwari Engineering College C. Sanjay, principal of Vageshwari College of Pharmacy, G. Vijay Kumar and others were present.
