Craft exhibition from March 2 to 5

Over 2,000 crafts persons from across the country will showcase their artwork at a four-day exhibition at Lalit Kala Academy from March 2 to 5.

Many of them are winners of national awards.

Paramparik Karigar will hold the exhibition.

The exhibition, to be inaugurated by Chennai Collector N. Muruganandam on March 1, is the third of its kind in the city.

Supriya Sahu, Additional Secretary of Health, will participate.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 10.30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition will include Gadwakam and Maheswari saris from Madhya Pradesh, screen and hand block printed material, Bidri work from Karnataka, Paithani saris, Mithila paintings, pottery, work on cane, bamboo, stone, wood and palm leaf.
