Time to gaze at Saturn, Mercury

HYDERABAD: The Planetary Society, India, is conducting live observation through astronomical telescopes of Saturn and Mercury with audio-visual presentation at Kendriya Vidyalya No. 1, Uppal on March 1. The programme is being conducted in association with Dhruva Astroknot Club.

In a press release issued here, the society informed that the planet can be spotted with naked eye after sunset in the western direction towards glow of the setting sun up to first week of March. As the sky fades to black, Mercury, the bright planet emerges, the release adds.

For a free sky map to spot mercury, one can visit the website `http://mercury06.tripod.com'. Interested schools can also send 10 students and a teacher for free participation and further details can be had from the society (Ph. 9347511132).
