Students asked to develop scientific temper

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Harsh K. Gupta, eminent geologist and president of the Indian Science Congress-2007, has advised school students to take up science study in a big way so as to develop scientific temper.

Inaugurating "Ignited minds," a science fair, at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology-adopted Zahir Memorial School, here, on Tuesday, he urged the participating students from 23 city schools to divert their attention towards science in view of the dwindling interest in the subject.

Dr. Gupta recalled his experiences as a member of the Antarctica expedition to drive home his message to the gathering.
