BIJAPUR: Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor P.S. Prabhakaran has said that progress in the field of information and communication technology has brought about radical changes in medical education and service. Dr. Prabhakara was inaugurating the digital library of BLDE Association's B.M. Patil Medical College here on Tuesday. He said technological advancements have made the learning process easier.
Impact of networking
The outcome of medical research and emerging techniques can be accessed in no time because of online networking, he said. He called on students and faculty members to make use of the digital library. M.B. Patil, MLA and chairman of BLDE Association, presided over the function. Referring to the fee structure, Mr. Patil said it has become difficult to provide quality education in medical colleges with the prevailing fee structure and rising maintenance charges. He said the Government should pay attention to this aspect. Principal of the college R.C. Bidari welcomed the gathering.
