BANGALORE: The Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has made certain changes in the test format this year. The changes are: The rank list for medical and dental courses will be published only of those candidates who secure 50 per cent marks taken together in physics, chemistry and biology in both the qualifying examination and the Common Entrance Test. (40 per cent in case of SC, ST and OBC category candidates). Candidates who secure less than 50 per cent marks taken together in PCB in the CET, will not be awarded any rank for admission to medical and dental courses (40 per cent for SC, ST and OBC category candidates). The rank list for Indian system of medicine and homoeopathy courses will be published only for those candidates who secure 50 per cent marks taken together in PCB subjects in the qualifying examination, irrespective of marks secured in PCB subjects in the CET (40 per cent for SC, ST and OBC). The rank list for engineering and technology courses will be published only for candidates who secure 45 per cent marks taken together in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination, irrespective of marks secured in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) in the CET (40 per cent for SC, ST and OBC). The rank list for architecture course will be published only for those candidates who secure 50 per cent marks taken together in all subjects in the qualifying examination and 40 per cent marks taken together in both Part I and II of the aptitude test. Candidates who secure less than 40 per cent marks taken together in both Part I and II of the Aptitude Test, will not be awarded any rank for admission to architecture course. There will be no negative valuation for wrong and multiple answers in both the CET and Aptitude Test.
