NEW DELHI:
Identifying six sectors, including biotech and manufacturing, for deepening Indo-U.S. economic relations, top CEOs from the two countries on Thursday mooted creation of a $5 billion fund to boost infrastructure development.
The CEOs forum headed by Tata group chief Ratan Tata submitted a report to President George Bush and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, recommending various measures to strengthen economic and business ties.
Chief Executive Officers from the U.S. wanted the Indian government to outline the roadmap for further opening up the economy. American companies are particularly keen on further liberalisation of the retail and financial sectors in India. PTI
