Kakinada: East Godavari district is going to be a model district soon in giving orientation for vocational courses to students from third class itself so that many would opt for vocational training to secure self-employment after tenth class. Launching the Lions self-employment scheme sponsored by the Lions clubs international District 324C1 at a function held here on Thursday, Collector Praveen Prakash said that hitherto, after passing out from schools, the bright students were opting for collegiate studies while the others were going for vocational courses.Stating that the concept now had changed, he said, even the bright students could opt for vocational courses for securing self-employment. Dr. Badam Balakrishna, Lions District Governor, who presided said that they were providing self-employment training to 150 unemployed youth in various trades in cooperation with the Jana Sikshana Sansthan for a period of forty five days.
