`Budget is anti-farmer'

Belgaum: The Union Budget for 2006-07 is limited only to the rich, Suresh C. Angadi, MP, has said.

Describing the budget proposals as "anti-poor" and "anti-farmer," he told The Hindu on Thursday that the budget proposals are pro-multinational companies and manufacturers of consumer durables.

The budget proposals are not aimed at strengthening the buying power of the common man, the MP said.
