Pondicherry
Special Correspondent
Pondicherry: Within almost an hour since the announcement of the poll schedule by Election Commission the ruling Congress has started recording the views and also the feedback available from the party's functionaries in the urban, rural and semi urban pockets. An informed source in the party said that the exercise of recording the views would continue for another few days and ultimately the party leader P. Shanmugham would present a report to the AICC president Sonia Gandhi. The decision of the high command on the number of seats the party would get in Pondicherry Assembly polls would be final. Mr. Shanmugham had also planned to camp in Karaikal shortly to receive the views of the party functionaries there.
