Kalam to visit Varanasi, Lucknow today

Lucknow: President A P J Abdul Kalam will visit Varanasi and Lucknow on Friday.

Principal Secretary (Home) Alok Sinha said here on Thursday that the President will reach Varanasi on Friday morning to attend the Convocation of the Banaras Hindu University.

Dr Kalam, after attending the convocation, will leave for the State Capital, where he will inaugurate a new branch of Divine Heart Hospital in Gomti Nagar, Mr Sinha added.

The president will return to national Capital in the evening.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made in both the cities to ensure a hassle free visit for the first citizen of the country. -- UNI
