Sangareddy: Nagisetti Rathod of Hothi-Bi village of Zaheerabad mandal is one among the group of farmers who would interact with US President George W. Bush at the ANGRAU. V. Sasibhushan, DAAT coordinator, said here today that Rathod has mastered the art of ginger and potato farming in the backward region of Zaheerabad. He made his mark in the utilisation of micro-irrigation techniques like drip and micro jets in the cultivation of ginger. He succeeded in intercropping ginger with papaya. Being an active member of the farming community in the district, he has been elected as one of the council member of the DAAT center. Scientists have utilised Rathod's farm in Hothi-B as a demonstration model to help other farmers.
