KARIMNAGAR: In order to educate the gullible rural folk about the dubious tactics of fake travel agents, the Gangadhara police conducted an awareness camp in Burgupalli village of Gangadhara mandal on Wednesday night. The police with the help of local school children enacted a play-let to educate the rural folk about the tactics adopted by fake travel agents, who deceive them promising lucrative jobs in Gulf countries. The drama enacted by the children had captivated the audience about the miserable life of the immigrants in the Gulf countries. Sufferings of the victims touched the hearts of the people. Gangadhara SI Mahesh organised the programme as part of the Mahila Rakashana committee (women protection squads) in Burgupalli village. Speaking on the occasion, Choppadandi CI Vidyasagar called upon the people not to fall prey to the dubious acts of fake travel agents. He suggested to the public to approach a recognised travel agent.
