Protest against Bush visit

Special Correspondent

Leaders of Left parties and Forward Bloc participate

CHENNAI: A protest rally against the visit of U.S. President George Bush to India was taken out in Chennai on Thursday in which left parties and Forward Bloc leaders participated.

Addressing the workers on the occasion the leaders condemned the United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre for following the policy of the previous National Democratic Alliance Government.

They reminded the UPA that the main reason for the defeat of NDA in the last Lok Sabha election was its U.S. oriented foreign policy. They also charged that the U.S. President was interfering in the internal affairs of India. Unfortunately the Central Government had not questioned U.S. actions, they added. The participants raised slogans against Mr.Bush.
