Yerran Naidu served notice

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission has served notice on the Telugu Desam MP K. Yerran Naidu for alleged violation of moral code of conduct in the Vishakapatnam bypoll.

According to sources in EC, Mr. Naidu has been charged with distributing sarees while the code was in operation. He has been asked to respond by March 10. On his part, the TDP MP said he will abide by the EC directive and maintained that he was at a social function when such an event took place. He also said that members of other political parties, including the Congress were also present at the function.
