Sadashivanagar traffic sub-inspector suspended

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-East) M. Abdullah Saleem on Tuesday suspended the Sadashivanagar traffic sub-inspector M. Range Gowda for allowing vehicles on the pavement.

According to sources, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) M.N. Reddi on Tuesday noticed heavy movement of two-wheelers on the pavement on Sankey Road, off Cauvery junction.

Although Mr. Range Gowda was on duty in the area, he had reportedly not taken steps to prevent the vehicles from entering the pavement.

On Mr. Reddi's direction, Mr. Saleem placed Mr. Range Gowda under suspension on charge of dereliction of duty, the sources said.
