This Day That Age
The Congress Party in Parliament has unanimously decided to propose the name of Mr. M. Ananthasayanam Ayyangar, Deputy Speaker, for the Speakership of the Lok Sabha. The office of the Speaker fell vacant consequent on the death of Mr. G.V. Mavlankar early this week. Mr. Ananthasayanam Ayyangar was elected Deputy Speaker in 1952.
