Isolated rain likely in T.N. CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms. are:- Chennai Airport and Valparai 2 each, Tambaram, Nagapattinam and Munnar (Idukki dt.) 1 each. On Thursday, the maximum temperature fell at one or two places over south Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, rest coastal Karnataka, Kerala, below normal at one or two places over rest Kerala, rest Tamil Nadu, and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Nizamabad, Ananthapur and Kadapa recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius in the region. The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradresh, rose at many places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over rest Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were markedly above normal at one or two places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, appreciably above normal at many places over Tamil Nadu, at a few places over rest south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, at one or two places over Karnataka, above normal at most places over Kerala, at a few places over rest Karnataka, rest Tamil Nadu, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.
