MOSCOW: Hamas favours a resumption of peace talks with Israel provided the latter reverts to the roadmap plan, senior leader Khaled Meshaal said on arrival in Moscow on Friday for talks at the invitation of Russia's President Vladimir Putin. A six-member Hamas delegation led by Mr. Meshaal held talks in the Russian Foreign Ministry with Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Saltanov and was later received by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The visit was expected to last three days. "We are in favour of continuing peace talks, but there is a problem not with the position of Hamas but with that of Israel," the Hamas leader said at the airport outside Moscow.
