Rain lashes Pondicherry

PONDICHERRY: Even as the Union Territory had been virtually reeling under hot spell for some days now the sudden downpour around midday on Friday took the people by surprise. The sudden downpour lashed Pondicherry and its outskirts for more than half an hour. A good part of the East Coast road presented a sheet of water. Two wheeler riders had to struggle hard.
