Srikakulam: District Collector Koteswara Rao on Friday suggested to the youth who opted for self-employment schemes to study aspects like availability of raw materials and demand for the finished product in market before selecting a unit. Speaking at a workshop organised by Set Sri at Ambedkar Auditorium here, Mr. Koteswara Rao wanted the youth to make use of the Rajiv Yuva Shakti scheme. By grounding 70 per cent of targeted units, Srikakulam district stood 10th in the State, he noted Chief Executive Officer of Set Sri K.V. Ramana said that free training in computers and for appearing in competitive examinations would be given to youngsters. The general manager of NABARD said that plans had been finalised for ensuring employment to 1.80 lakh people in the district.
