Lanka cruises to victory

CHITTAGONG: Michael van Dort hammered an unbeaten 64 (10x4) to guide Sri Lanka to an easy eight-wicket win, before lunch, over Bangladesh in the first Test here on Friday.

Captain Mahela Jayawardene (26) drove a ball to the boundary to take his team to 166 and to its sixth Test win against Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka, which began the fourth day at 25 for no loss, suffered an early setback after pacer Syed Rasel dismissed Upul Tharanga before he could add to his overnight score of 19.
