TIRUMALA. Governments should stop interfering with internal matters of religious institutions, international president of Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Ashok Singhal has said. Expressing concern over government's indulgence in internal matters of religious institutions, he told reporters here on Friday that properties of mutts and mandirs should vest with managements of the respective institutions. The religious institutions were strong enough to protect their properties. If the governments did not change their attitude, it could result in a strong protest from people. Mr. Singhal who offered prayers at the Hill temple this morning, said important matters would be discussed at the two-day southern regional Dharma Sansad beginning in Tirupati on Saturday.
