JAIPUR: Sarvodaya activist and president of Rajasthan Samagra Seva Sangh, Sawai Singh, has been presented the Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan National Award for 2005 instituted by the M. B. Gandhi Charitable Trust, Nagpur. Maharashtra Finance Minister Jayantrao Patil handed over the award money of Rs.11,000 and memento to Sawai Singh at a function organized at Rashtra Bhasha Bhawan in Nagpur on Thursday. Mr. Patil termed JP's concept of Total Revolution relevant to the present times. Mr. Singh committed the award money to support the ongoing agitation against exploitation of ground water by a multi-national soft drink company at Kaladera near Jaipur. Eminent Gandhian Thakurdas Bhang presided over the function.
