VISAKHAPATNAM: The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with the State Government will conduct a three-day exhibition of ayurvedic products, Ayush Vedica, in the city from March 10. Announcing this at a media conference here on Saturday, K. S. Ganesan, head of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of FICCI, said that such exhibitions were conducted earlier in Hyderabad and Vijayawada to promote ayurveda and ayurvedic products. About 100 companies had participated in the Hyderabad fair and over 40 in Vijayawada.

"We expect 40 to 45 companies to participate in the exhibition to be held here at the Viswapriya Function Hall on the Beach Road," he said. The Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) would also take part in the exhibition and sell medicinal plants to the companies, he said. "Lectures will be organised on different topics related to ayurveda on all three days in the evening. Homoeo and naturopathy products, books and publications on ayurveda will also be on display," he said. Secretary of the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry K. Vijaya Kumar who also spoke said that the exhibition would provide a great opportunity to the local ayurvedic firms and pharmacies to promote their products.
