CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over Telangana, at many places over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Very heavy to heavy rainfall recorded in centimetres:

Madurai city 13, Kodaikanal 12, Mettupatti (Madurai dt.) 11, Periyanaickanpalayam (Coimbatore dt.) and Rajapalayam (Virudhunagar dt.) 10 each, Srivilliputtur (Virudhunagar dt.), Tiruppuvanam (Sivagangai dt.), Coimbatore Airport and Natham (Dindugul dt.) 9 each, Coonoor and Huliyudurga (Tumkur dt.) 8 each Sathankulam (Tuticorin dt.), Pondicherry Airport and Kochi Airport 7 each.Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Monday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, south interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana coastal and north interior Karnataka.
