State sends three names to EC

HYDERABAD: The State Government on Saturday sent a panel of three names for selection of one of them by the Election Commission to replace Chief Electoral Officer M.Narayana Rao.

This was in compliance with the Election Commission's direction issued after its two-member team submitted a report on the irregularities committed during the recent Visakhapatnam-I by-election.

The Commission is likely to finalise the name on Monday.
