Painting contest winners

KOZHIKODE: P.S. Sagar a student of HMY High School, Manjeri, has been selected for the K.P. Antony Master gold medal for the best painting in the on-the-spot State-level painting contest conducted by Universal Arts and School of Fine Arts at the Indoor Stadium here on February 5.

The medals and prizes were announced by Universal Arts secretary Paul Kallanode and Principal K.M. Sebastian.

P. Nivedita (Kendriya Vidyalaya - 1, Kozhikode) bagged the G.N. Pillai gold medal.

The gold medal for the painting of boy child artist goes to S. Sreenihal (Government Ganpat Vocational Higher Secondary School, Feroke), and for girl artist to Anaghasree Sajeevnath (Nadavaramba Bharathiya Vidyabhavan, Iringalakuda).

St.Michael's Girls High School, West Hill, bagged the trophy for the school which had registered the largest number of participants in the contest, and Bharatiya Vidyabhavan, Kannur, earned the trophy for the school which won the largest number of prizes.

The prizes will be distributed at a programme to be held at the Kalpaka auditorium here on March 8.
