Khammam will emerge total literacy district by June, says Collector

KHAMMAM: Khammam will emerge a total literacy district by June next, according to the Collector, Rajendra Narendra Nimje on Sunday.

Launching the second phase of Akshara Bharati programme in Naikangudem village, he said about 27,000 people were still left out as illiterates in the district and they would all be covered under the programme in the next three months time.

The Collector said development would be incomplete without literacy.
