CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over south interior Karnataka and isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and coastal Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka, and dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Lakshadweep.

Senkottai (Tirunelveli dt) recorded a heavy rainfall of 7 centimetres: They were appreciably above normal at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Telangana, Ralayaseema, and north interior Tamil Nadu, above normal at a few places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, rest Karnataka, rest Tamil Nadu, Kerala, below normal at one or two places over rest Kerala and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 16 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, coastal and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and north interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
