Thackeray being kept under `house arrest:' Rane

Mumbai: Former Shiv Sena leader-turned Congressman Narayan Rane on Sunday charged Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray with keeping the latter's father and Sena chief Bal Thackeray under "house arrest."

"Uddhav has kept Balasaheb under house arrest, as can be seen from the latter's absence at all party functions these days," said Mr. Rane who was expelled from the Sena last year and is now a minister in the State Government.

His comments came while touring Aurangabad in the Marathwada region. — PTI
