Student drowned

A Class X student of Golconda Government High School, Mohammed Abdul Riyaz, drowned in the Hakimpet Kunta on Saturday. According to the Banjara Hills police, 16-year old Riyaz, a resident of Film Nagar, had gone swimming along with his friend Ahmed Pasha when the mishap occurred. The police and locals fished out his body later in the day.

Youth dies after lorry

rams into scooter

A 25-year-old private employee, N. Rajesh, was killed on the spot when a lorry hit the scooter he was riding. Rajesh, a resident of Ambernagar in Nacharam, was on his way home when the accident occurred near the industrial development area, Nacharam. A case has been registered and police are investigating.

RTC bus knocks

down woman

M. Shakuntalabai, a 50-year-old resident of Petla Burj, was fatally injured after an RTC bus hit her.

Shakuntalabai, wife of Konda Rao, was walking along the Charminar Police Lines when the bus hit her. She was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital, where she was declared brought dead. Charminar police are investigating.

Businessman

succumbs to injuries

T. Kondal Reddy, 36, a businessman of Balapur, died on Saturday after sustaining injuries in a scooter accident. The Pahadi Sharif police said Reddy injured his head seriously when the scooter he was riding skidded and he fell sideways near Sri Sai Nagar. Though he was rushed to the Osmania General Hospital, doctors declared him brought dead.
