Cultural and award nite on Friday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A `cultural and award nite' in honour of late carnatic musician Nellaai T.V. Krihnamoorthi will be organised by Soorya Kiran, a cultural society at Theerthapada Mandapam, East Fort, on Friday.

M. Ayyappan, chairman and managing director, Hindustan Latex, will inaugurate the function. Chandra Lekshman, Priya Tessy John and Baby Sanoosha will be given the Sooryakiran Navaagatha Prathibha Puraskaram on the occasion. Chandra Lakshman has won the award for her performance in Megham.The recognition for Priya Tessy John was for her performance at the Revenue district youth festival. Baby Sanoosha won the awrds for her role in Kazhcha. The function will also be attended by Neyyattinkara Vasudevan, M.G. Radhakrishnan and Bichu Thirumala.
