KANNUR: National Development Front (NDF) workers on Monday staged a march to the office of the Superintendent of Police to protest against the arrest of NDF workers in connection with the clashes between Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) workers here recently. The march was stopped by the police near the Town Police Station. Inaugurating the march, NDF State secretary K. Muhammdali Valancheri said the front had been made a scapegoat in the violence between the IUML and CPI(M) workers in the district. He urged the police to stop harassing NDF workers in connection with the clashes.
