DHAKA: The Bangladesh Government has claimed second success in a week by arresting another top Islamist militant leader whose existence it had denied for years despite extensive media reports. On Monday, the Rapid Action Battalion arrested Siddiqul Islam, better known as "Bangla Bhai", one of the two top Islamist militant leaders. "Bangla Bhai", operation commander of the dreaded Jagrata Muslim Janata Bangladesh was arrested along with his wife and five associates from a house in Mymensingh district. The high profile arrest followed that of Shaikh Abdur Rahman, chief of the Jamaat'ul Mujahideen.
