DDA plots draw big money

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority raked in more big money on Monday as it sold off 12 institutional plots for over Rs. 180 crores against a reserved price of less than Rs. 90 crores. The Authority had on Friday grossed Rs. 943 crores by selling seven hotel sites.

In the auction held at Vikas Sadan on Monday, DDA sold three plots of three acres each for engineering colleges while the remaining plots were auctioned off for setting up of management and other professional colleges. The highlight of the auction that day was the sale of two five-star hotel sites at Jasola in South Delhi that fetched the Authority Rs. 388 crores against a reserve price of Rs. 118 crores.
