Kollur (Udupi district): Film music director Ilayaraja offered a Rs. 30-lakh diamond crown to the presiding deity of Sri Mookambika Temple here on Monday. The priest of the temple, Sridhar Adiga, performed rituals. Mr. Ilyaraja, his wife Jeeva, his daughter Bhavatarini, his son-in-law Shabariraj and Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji of Ramachandrapura Math were present. Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamiji of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham visited the temple on Monday. The swamiji, who was received in a traditional manner, had "darshan" of the deity and offered prayers.
