One killed in attack

KOCHI: One person was killed and another seriously injured in a gang attack at Udayamperoor here on Monday morning. According to the Hill Palace police, a gang of seven men created a scene of terror using explosives near a cassette shop operated by Ajish, 27, Udayamperoor, and attacked him and his friend Kapil, 23. Kapil died of injuries and Ajish has been hospitalised. His condition is reported to be serious.

Traffic curbs

KOCHI: City Police have announced regulations in the traffic along the stretch between Palarivattom and Town Hall, Banerjee Road, Shanmugham Road, Park Avenue Road, M.G. Road, Chittoor Road and Sahodaran Ayyappan Road on Tuesday from 2 p.m. onwards. The regulations have been brought in owing to the rally by the DYFI and valedictory session of the ongoing Congress meeting at Ambedkar Stadium.

Power disruption

KOCHI: Owing to maintenance work of transformer, power supply to several areas in the city including Vettichira, Kunjan Bava Road and Rail Nagar will be disrupted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Drama camps

KOCHI: The Cochin Little Theatre, in association with Blossoms - Centre for Self Development and Swanthana, will organise two summer camps for students of classes 8 to 12, in personality development using theatre as a medium for training.
