TIRUPUR: The Parent Teachers Association (PTA) of Jaivabai Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School here has set up incinerators on the school campus to burn sanitary napkins used by students. The PTA president, A. Easwaran, said it was to help students. The school has strength of over 7,000 students. "We find it difficult to keep the toilets clean as some of the students leave napkins at the toilets inadvertently. It blocks the flow of water. So we have introduced this one,'' he said. The PTA has bought used boilers from dyeing units and installed at four places in the toilets. Students could drop the napkins in them and it will be burnt on alternative days.
