Isolated rain likely in south T.N.

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over south interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana. Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms are: Valparai 5, Thuckalay (Kanyakumari dt.) and Kolar 3 each and Perinthalamanna (Malapuram dt.), Chenganur (Alapuzha dt.) and Chikmagalur 1 each.

On Monday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, fell appreciably over Kerala and changed little elsewhere over the region.

FORECAST (valid until Thursday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana and interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka.
