Human chain against bad roads

Continuing with its environment protection activities in the town of Sivakasi, the Sivakasi Velayutha Rastha Civic Exnora organised a human chain to highlight the plight of bad roads and create an awareness of adverse effects of open defecation last week.

Students of Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women participated in the human chain near the Coronation Bus Stop on March 1. They carried placards stressing the importance of greenery and the need to avoid pollution. The president of the organisation, Prema Paulrajan, and secretary Latha Abiruben participated in the human chain.
