Getting selected for any international sports event is not that easy. For, a lot of physical struggle is involved before one gets the nod. And J. Ranjith Kumar has once again proved his mettle. As he is one among 12 physically challenged persons selected to participate in the 18th Commonwealth Games, to be held in Melbourne, Australia, between March 15 and 26. Incidentally, paralympic events are also included as regular medal events at the games for the first time this year. The 30-year-old sportsperson from Madurai will be competing in discus throw event under F 56 classification.
