Admission to US fellowship commences

VISAKHAPATNAM: The United States Educational Foundation in India (USFI) has declared the commencement of admission to the fellowship programmes for students, researchers, teachers and professionals for the year 2007-08. Announcing this at a press meet at the three-day conference organised by USEFI at Hotel Taj Residency, Prof. Jane Schukoske, Executive Director of USEFI, said that the programmes were aimed at encouraging Indo-US networking.

Application materials can be downloaded from the website - www.fulbright-india.org. "Screening and selection committees look for talented individuals with the ability to be good cultural ambassadors and whose projects are of importance to India and the U.S.,'' she said.

The last date for giving in the application forms is July 1.
